Hyundai Heavy Industries increased its estimated turnover for February to KRW 1.9356trn (about $1.7bn), up by 4.1% on January and by 7.3% year-on-year, on K-IFRS stand-alone basis, in a regulatory filing on March 22.
Revenue in the first two months this year stood at KRW 3.7951trn, down by 4.7%, year-on-year.
Meanwhile, overall new order contracted during January-February period decreased to a cumulative $2.522bn, down by 59.9% y-o-y.
In terms of business divisions, Shipbuilding division contracted $790m by February, which rapidly up from $76m in January but down by 61.5% year-on-year.
Offshore & Engineering contracted a cumulative $98m in the first two months, plummeted by 95.9% y-o-y. Industrial plant & Engineering and Engine & Machinery both dropped orders in the same period to $5m and $55.6m, down by 95.7% and 21.3%, respectively.
