Belgian gas operator Exmar has sold two of its older midsize gas carriers.
It says it has sold the 28,070-cbm Chaconia (built 1990) and the 37,511-cbm Elversele (built 1996) to unnamed buyers.
The company says the vessels will be delivered to their new owners in April and July 2012, respectively.
The total net sale price for the two ships was $48.9m, with Exmar set to realise a capital gain of about $6.3m on the transactions.
Exmar recently ordered eight 38,000-cbm LPG newbuildings at South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard for delivery from 2014 onwards.
