|Tsuneishi Shipbuilding contracted three 45,000-dwt 'TESS45BOX' bulkers with overseas owner due delivery for 2014, announced on April 9.|
Tsuneishi Group Zhoushan Shipbuilding in China is scheduled to construct the newbuildings.
The Japanese shipbuilder has newly developed TESS45BOX, which up-graded its existing 45,000-dwt bulker design 'TESS45', by having equipped with box shaped cargo hold and limited total length up to about 183m.
Tsuneishi plans to concentrate sales of 37,000-45,000 dwt bulkers, which expects increasing demand due to huge demolition.
Recently ordered vessels are installed with ballast water treatment systems and enhanced fuel efficiency with energy saving additions of 'MT-FAST', bow form reducing wave resistance 'Sea Worthy', etc.
