Nam Cheong has bagged an order to build a pair of accommodation work barges for a compatriot oil company, Perdana Petroleum, with a deal worth $59m in total.
These newbuildings, 100 meter in length, will have the capacity to accommodate 300 people, with eight-point mooring systems and a 300-tonne crane each.
Delivery of the units are due as early as the first quarter of next year. They are likely to be under construction at Fujian Southeast of Fujian Funing.
They are part of the company’s built-to-stock speculative portfolio from its Chinese sub-contractor.
