There will be marine exhibitions to be held in Korea.
Korea's first offshore-specialized exhibition, Offshore Korea 2012 (OK 2012), hosted by Busan, Kyungyon Exhibition Corporation, Bexco, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Busan Marine Equipment Association, KOTRA, etc., is to be held at BEXCO, Busan, during November 14-16.
About 400 companies from 27 countries will take part in.
Korea's Big4 - Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Heavy Industries, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and STX Offshore & Shipbuilding - will all participate the exhibition.
Moreover, major offshore equipment makers, such as Aker Solutions, Cameron, National Oilwell Varco, FMC Technologies, etc., have registered booths.
Also, overseas classification societies, including ABS, as well as Korean Register of Shipping signed up for the exhibition.
Meanwhile, the fourth Marine Tech Korea 2012 is to be held from November 13 to 16 at CECO, Changwon. The exhibition is co-hosted by South Gyeongsang Province, Changwon, Tongyong and Geojae.
Including Korea's major shipyards, such as Daewoo, Samsung, STX, etc., about 200 some shipbuilding related companies from 35 countries will set up around 600 booths.
Major 11 buyers with over KRW 1trn ($917m) of annual turnover as well as 250 buyers around the world will have a one-to-one consultation with domestic companies.
Besides, during the exhibition, an international symposium by the Society of Naval Architects of Korea will also be held. Around 700 scholars in shipbuilding and offshore sectors are to participate and there will be presentations of papers.
