Hanjin to win 9,300TEU's

Korea's Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction’s Subic Shipyard in the Philippines has signed a letter of intent with NSC Schiffahrts to build two 9,300TEU containerships.

The German shipowner is planning an order for two 9,300TEU ships to charter them out on long-term deal to Compania Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica (CCNI), sources say.

The newbuildings are said to be scheduled for delivery in 2015.

The final contract is to be signed soon, the sources added.
