IHI eyes 1st SPB FLNG

Japan's IHI has recently announced its three-year mid-term management plan, to be completed in FY 2015.

Also, it revealed that its target revenue, on consolidated basis, of FY 2015 is JPY 1.4trn ($17.5bn), up by 13% comparing with estimated revenue for this fiscal year. As for operating profit, it would be JPY 70bn, twice as large as FY 2012's.

IHI expects profit growth in energy systems segment and said it aims to win its first order of newbuilding FLNG unit with its own SPB tank technology and to install it into commercial ship.

Meanwhile, IHI has come up with the first plan since its shipbuilding subsidiary IHI Marine United has merged with Universal Shipbuidling. Besides, IHI plans to concentrate on current power generation, offshore wind power, etc.
