Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard has succeeded in signing four-newbuilding orders recently.
Having suffered a year-long order drought, the Korean-Vietnamese joint venture finally won fresh newbuilding orders.
Notably, the yard scored an order for two MR product tankers of 50,000 DWT each. Delivery is reportedly scheduled in 2014.
HVS also won a bulker newbuilding order from Korean shipowner Joong Ang Shipping to build two 63,000DWT supramaxes for around $25m per ship. Delivery is due for September and December of 2014.
The shipyard's order backlog now stands at around 16 ships including kamsarmax and handysize bulkers.
